Why Dropshipland Does Not Dropship

Dropshipland does everything possible to extract money from buyers, except offer its services honestly. Buyers pay monstrously inflated fees on the promise of convenient dropshipping, but like all false promises, this too, is never fulfilled. This site actually does everything except drop ship products. Reviews prove that Dropshipland has never managed to send any product across to customers till date.

How, then, does this site manage to stay in business? The answer - it tries every scam in the book to make money and keep retailers in the dark about the actual nature of its business. The site has two techniques for extracting fees from retailers — fee for acquiring wholesale merchandise, and fee for website hosting. Since it is Dropshipland we are talking about, buyers receive none of the promised service and yet end up paying more money than they ever imagined when they came across this site.

Products that Do Not Exist in Their Stock
The site lists products purportedly offered through their service, but note that none of these products are ever available for actual purchase. The buyers pay a lot as fees to buy the product, but the product is never in stock.

Experienced retailers are well aware of this scam, because Dropshipland offers some telltale indications that should get the alarm bells ringing. For example, even the inventory it lists — although much of it is made up — does not offer much. A few measly product lines, and even then, there is no indication that the products have a market.

The buyer, who does manage to find a product that is not out of stock, never receives it. They might wait endlessly for the product to be delivered, make their apologies to irate customers, probably even find a profitable wholesale bargain elsewhere — but the product never arrives at the customer’s doorstep.

What is more, the buyer is more likely than not to be saddled with monthly fees deducted from their credit card, without their permission. Even if you request cancellation of membership they will keep deducting money as long as they have access to your card.

Website Setup that Never Works
Buyers are offered a membership plan where they are provided their own site to promote products. Reviews recommend staying away from this plan, because Dropshipland is only looking for ways to earn money through site hosting. In addition to paying higher fees, you will be saddled with website hosting costs for at least one year.

As the primary goal of the site is to earn through hosting, and not by offering retailer support, the website you get is not ecommerce friendly. It is an obsolete product that will not help the retailer get access to new customers. Integrating the site with eBay is problematic, and tech support is non existent.

Fraud has come to be closely associated with Dropshipland and it has started maligning reliable, well known wholesale directories in order to detract the attention of buyers. The method isn’t working, and buyers are now leaving the site and cancelling their cards in order to make a fresh start, away from this den of scams.

Why Dropshipland is a Retailer’s Worst Nightmare

There are some things that can cause retailers to have sleepless nights. Reviews indicate that Dropshipland is one of them. Buyers have repeatedly warned inexperienced retailers against using this site to find products. The scam run by Dropshipland is so cleverly structured that you will not be aware of the fraud until it is too late.

The goal of this site is to extract as much money as possible from the retailers’ pocket. Once you’ve paid the one time fee, they’ll ask you for even more money as miscellaneous charges. Often, the purpose of these mysterious fees is never explained. By the time you realize that you have been scammed, there is not much you can do about it.

No refunds

Asking for refunds is a complete waste of time. You will never receive a refund from this site; nobody ever has received it. The best thing to do is to forget about refunds, forget about finding an explanation, and simply cancel your credit card. Remember that if scammers hold information about your credit card, they can use it against you.

Low-profit products

The products on this site offer zero profits, and this is something inexperienced buyers to not realize until it’s too late. You actually have to pay a commission on the product. This makes the entire transaction too expensive, particularly if you’re purchasing more than one product. Lower profitability is one reason knowledgeable buyers avoid this website.

Unusable ecommerce site

The ecommerce site you are promised is very basic in its design. Such sites might have worked ten years back. They do not work anymore. Remember that there are retailers with beautifully designed websites and you have to compete against them to gain customers.

Given that visitors linger no more than ten seconds on a webpage before they decide to move on, you will have a tough time generating interest among visitors. If you are unable to hold their attention, you will not be able to sell them anything through your website.

This site has many other loopholes. It is far too expensive. You’re expected to pay hosting charges every month, so if you came on board expecting a free website, you are mistaken. The hosting is much more expensive compared to other hosting services. The problem is that you’re not allowed to change the hosting service and switch to a cheaper one.

Reviews speculate that this might be because Dropshipland earns significant income through website hosting. You cannot run a hosting business as well as dropship products on the side, because it invariably leads to a clash of interest as we saw in this case. The poorly designed website, lacklustre inventory, and expensive fees add to the retailers woes.

Scam is extremely common on sites like Dropshipland, but there is a lot you can do to combat it. First, stay away from such dropship websites. Before you pay up to access their so-called dropship services, read their terms and conditions carefully. A little more alertness can save you from retail nightmares.
